What a great way to kick off September! The staff at Starters was amazing, the food was delicious, and the company was even better! 💚

We had a wonderful outing with our GDABVI clients, filled with good food, laughter, and great conversation.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ronald “Ron” Coleman, a valued member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Detroit Agency for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Ron was more than a board member. He was a true supporter and friend of our Agency. He regularly attended our events, generously gave his time, talent, and treasure, and was someone we could always depend on.

Ron was also a dedicated Lion who truly believed in service. He lived that commitment through the support he gave to his community and to our Agency. His presence, encouragement, generosity, and dedication will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Ron’s family, friends, fellow Lions, and all who knew and loved him.

Thank you, Ron, for your service, your friendship, and the difference you made. Your legacy of service will not be forgotten.

Today’s Ice Cream Social was definitely one for the books! It was a packed house!

A huge thank-you to all of the men from our Men Only Support Group for an awesome turnout and for making today such a great time. It was wonderful seeing everyone come together for an afternoon of fun, friends, and fellowship.

A special thank-you to Bernard for bringing his keyboard and providing the musical selection that kept us entertained throughout the afternoon!

Thank you to Jordan for volunteering and working throughout the event, and to our wonderful volunteers Tonya, Sue, Marissa, and John for lending a helping hand and helping everything run smoothly.

We also appreciate Gary, our Executive Director, melody from inner Vision Support Group and Carmen from the Harper Woods-Grosse Pointe Woods Lions Club for supporting our raffle.

And congratulations to Donna, our 50/50 raffle winner, who turned around and generously donated her winnings right back to the Agency! ❤️ We truly appreciate your kindness and support.

Good people, good music, plenty of ice cream, and lots of laughter. What more could we ask for? 🍦
