They’re tired of living on the floor. They’ve seen enough... 👏👶

Our collection of dolls is growing, and we’re looking for shelving donations so these sweet faces can get OFF THE FLOOR and onto shelves and tables where they can be organized, cared for, and ready to find their way into the arms of children and families who need them.

We wrapped up our backpack giveaway events at our Washtenaw office on Friday, and what an incredible celebration it was!

Seeing families connect, children pick out their backpacks, and excitement grow for the new school year is a powerful reminder of what community support can accomplish.

Your time, creativity, and dedication helped make our annual All Staff Summer Event a wonderful success. Thank you for volunteering to plan and support staff engagement events and ideas that strengthen connections and build community across our organization.

Events like these remind us that when a community comes together, amazing things happen. With backpacks, school supplies, and plenty of smiles, children are heading back to school knowing they have an entire community cheering them on.

We kicked off our Monday morning with a high-energy camp send-off, celebrating the youth heading off to camp thanks to the incredible support of our community!

A special thank you to our staff, Board Members, the Southfield Police Department and former NFL player Maurice Harvey/NFL Alumni Detroit Chapter, for making the morning so memorable. Maurice inspired our youth with encouraging words before their journey, reminding them to make the most of this incredible opportunity. The Southfield Police Department came to spend time with these youth as well as provided a special police es**rt for the bus, while staff, Board Members, and NFL Alumni lined the departure route, cheering and waving as our campers headed off for a week of fun, growth, and unforgettable memories.

Thank you to everyone who helped send these youth off feeling supported, celebrated, and excited for the adventure ahead!

Because of your support, we were able to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere as we celebrated our high school, college, and trade school graduates and recognized their hard work and achievements alongside our community. Community partnerships like this help make special moments even more memorable, and we are grateful for Star Trax's commitment to supporting youth and families.

In the world of child welfare, we spend so much time caring for others that it's easy to forget the importance of caring for ourselves and each other. Strong roots help us weather any storm.

Our annual All Staff Summer Event was a chance to do just that. From tug-of-war and icebreaker games to giveaways, food, ice cream, and lots of laughter, staff came together to connect, recharge, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our agency.

Moments like these help strengthen our roots, deepen our relationships, and remind us that while the work can be complex, we are never doing it alone.

Together, we grow stronger, so we can continue making a difference for the children, youth, and families we serve.
