Tonight, I want to begin by giving all honor and glory to God. Through every conversation, every door knocked, every handshake, and every challenge, He has been faithful. While this wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for, I trust that His plans are always greater than my own.
I want to sincerely congratulate all of the candidates who were successful tonight. Running for office is no small task, and I pray God blesses each of you with wisdom, integrity, and a genuine heart to serve the people of our district.
To every volunteer, supporter, donor, friend, family member, and every voter who believed in me—thank you. You gave your time, your prayers, your encouragement, and your trust. I will never take that for granted. This campaign was never just about one person; it was about neighbors coming together because we believe our communities deserve strong leadership and a brighter future.
Of course, I’m disappointed. We worked hard, and in the end, it just wasn’t enough. But I don’t measure success only by election results. I measure it by the relationships we’ve built, the conversations we’ve had, and the hope we’ve shared along the way.
Although this chapter has come to a close, my commitment to Allen Park, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, and northern Southgate has not. I will continue serving our communities, supporting the causes I believe in, and looking forward with anticipation to whatever plans God has for my future.
As Scripture reminds us, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Tonight, I trust those steps.
And finally, to everyone who’s been asking me, “So…what’s next?”—my honest answer is: tomorrow I’m probably going to get a full night’s sleep for the first time in months. After that, we’ll see where God leads.
Thank you all. God bless you, God bless our communities, and God bless the great State of Michigan.
