Huge congrats to K9 Kay and his handler Officer Carbone on finishing 2nd overall at the Hometown Foundation Dream Ride today! Kay competed against over 30 other K9’s from across the state and country. Great work!

Hey Southington! Make sure you come out this Saturday August 24th to support K9 Kay and his handler Ofc. Carbone as they compete in the Himetown Foundation K9 competition at the Dream Ride. The competition takes place at the Farmington Polo Grounds beginning at 10AM. Hope to see you there! 🐾⚫️🔵

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved retired K-9, Kira. Kira served the Southington Police Department with unwavering loyalty, dedication, and courage. Kira served with Retired Officer Mel Emond and to him, she was more than a partner; she was family.

Kira’s contributions to our community’s safety and security will never be forgotten.

As we remember Kira, we celebrate her life and the countless lives she touched. Thank you, Kira, for your faithful service. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Rest in peace, K9 Kira. 🌈🐾

This is the face of a good boy who was able to successfully track and assist in apprehending 4 suspects who bailed on foot from a stolen vehicle in the late evening hours of December 24th, 2023. It’s safe to say Christmas came early for K9 Tank! 🎅🏼🎄
