Stay up-to-date on the latest information on the White Chapel Construction project. The North White Chapel widening project was approved in 2009 as part of the Southlake 2030 Master Mobility Plan to improve safety and mobility.This major roadway reconstruction project includes construction of a dual-lane roundabout and the widening on a two-lane road to a four-lane road. The project will be completed in two phases starting with the roundabout.

However, as more pedestrians head out to enjoy the longer days and the sunny weather, pedestrian safety will always be important. For the last Monday of the month, we want to highlight one more way Town Hall is accessible to all residents - building entry and exit ramps! Located on the sides of Town Hall near the front of the building, citizens using wheelchairs, motorized scooters can quickly and safely enter the building.

Contractors will be conducting lane closures on westbound W. Dove Road from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. from Monday, March 28 until Friday, April 8, weather permitting. Shoulder and median work will be taking place during this time frame. Closures will impact the right-turn lane and the left-turn lane along W. Dove Road at the Kirkwood Boulevard intersection. Alternating closures will also take place along Kirkwood Boulevard that will impact the inside lanes along the median. Alternate routes are advised.

Contractors will be conducting alternating lane closures along northbound and southbound N. Carroll Avenue from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. starting Monday, March 28 until Friday, April 8, weather permitting. Shoulder and median work will be taking place during this time. Closures will impact traffic on N. Carroll Avenue between Division Street and Main Street with at least one lane remaining open at all times. Alternate routes are advised.

Intersection improvements at Dove Road and Kirkwood Boulevard and N. Carroll Avenue and Federal Way are in progress.

Contractors are currently setting up forms for sidewalk ramps along N. Carroll Avenue. Concrete is expected to be poured for this location next week. The work along N. Carroll Ave. is anticipated to be complete the week of April 18, weather permitting.

In regards to the work on Dove Road and Kirkwood Boulevard, contactors are set to place asphalt at the median of W. Dove Road and set up forms for the southeast corner of the intersection.

The work for Dove and Kirkwood is anticipated to be completed in early May, weather permitting.
