This morning Hecla vfd provided traffic control for the annual Hecla honor roll memorial day service.

A wreath was placed by firefighter Casoni (united States army)

Taps and the 21 gun salute was performed by local veteran's Honor roll firing squad.

Take time today in between your parties and cookouts to remember what today is meant for...all the men and women who did not make it home. We are free today because of them!

This evening members got together for a work detail, where we added and mounted some brand new hand tools, hoseline, and other new equipment on our "new to us" engine 2! 🚒

These items were obtained by getting a state funded grant.

Members have been training hard on this truck, and working heavily over the past few months to get it ready.

Very soon this engine will be In Service and responding to fires and other emergencies in our first due and surrounding areas.
