2027 WMRA Car Construction & Motor Rules Meeting

The WMRA Rules Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 1st from noon to 2:00PM at Los Cabos Restaurant:

The meeting is open to ALL WMRA Owners, Drivers and Crew

As the meeting will be limited to just 2 hours, we would like all rules suggestions submitted in writing to S***t Flake by Sunday, October 25, 2026. This will allow the rules committee some time to review and hopefully utilize our time wisely.

Per the 2026 WMRA Rule Book
” Eligible voters for all rules changes shall consist of all owners of registered cars or drivers who are WMRA members and who have competed in at least three (3) WMRA sanctioned races in the recently completed season”
“There is only one vote per eligible car. If no eligible member is available to vote, another WMRA member may vote for them if the eligible member submits to the Board a written proxy signed by the eligible voter. (An e-mailed proxy submitted prior to the day of the election will be accepted. Email Proxy to Tom or S***ter)

Car owners eligible to vote are:
0 - Dixon, 1R - Olsen, 2 G, Seidelman, 03 - Rogers, 4 – G. Seidelman, 10 - Vaillant, 17R - Flake, 19 - Wood, 33 - Gooch, 47 - Flake, 72 Churchill, 84 - Manners, 91 – Wood.

Today we had a meeting with the Technical committee to discuss possible Allstar and regional rule changes for 2027. A lot was discussed and these were the suggested changes. Now we want to point out that this is just for discussion, we would like constructive feedback on this before the meeting. We would also like any formal rule changes to be submitted to the WMRA FB page using messenger so we have it in writing and we will post in up for discussion on the page. here are the regional/Allstar suggested changes for 2026.

(1) Run full Allstar engines in the national division just as we did for 2026, Allstar engines follow the Allstar rule book. Weight: 1075 minimum with or without clutch. Run 10" LR and 12" RR wheels, Rear offset open, max width 65"

(2) Regional 1 : Stock Sealed Focus, must be self starting with clutch. Minimum weight 1120 lbs with 3x flywheel or equivalent. Minimum weight 1145lbs without 3x flywheel. Max injector diameter 2". Rear wheels 10" LR and 12" RR with open offset 65" max width.

(3) Regional 1 unsealed Focus. Agassiz legal engine package, Allstar stage 1 engine, Stock focus with cams and springs. Must be self starting with clutch. Minimum weight 1180 lbs, Max injector diameter 2", max rear width 10" LR 12" RR. Rear offset 6" and 65" max width.

(4) Run the Allstar cars with Regional 1. engine follows Allstar rule book except Cam timing at zero. Weight 1225 lbs with or without clutch. Rear wheels 8" LR and 10" RR, rear offset 6" and 65" max width

(5) Regional 1 : Stock Sealed Focus, must be self starting with clutch. Minimum weight 1120 lbs with 3x flywheel or equivalent. Minimum weight 1145lbs without 3x flywheel. Max injector diameter 2". Rear wheels 10" LR and 12" RR with open offset 65" max width.

(6) Unsealed Focus, Agassiz Legal engine package, Stock focus with cams and springs. Must be self starting with clutch. Minimum weight 1180 lbs, rear wheels 10" LR and 12" RR and 65" max width. Clutch cars must have a full neutral postion.
