We know where this post ends.
But where do we even begin?
Maybe here:
There’s a TV show called *The Librarians*, where librarians possess incredible skills and regularly save the world.
Or maybe here:
Our employees put out figurative dumpster fires every day. On Tuesday, they got to put out a literal dumpster fire.
Or perhaps here:
Keep a cookie tin around the office. You never know when it might need to be filled with water and turned into emergency firefighting equipment.
Tuesday morning, Library employees Scott, Kristina, and Lexi noticed smoke coming from a trash can outside Library Hall.
They called 911, grabbed the nearest firefighting implement available, filled a cookie tin with water, and switched into hero mode.
Was it a raging inferno?
No.
Was there enough smoke to require action?
Probably.
By the time Fire & EMS arrived, the situation was under control.
In recognition of their courageous actions, Fire & EMS unofficially deputized the trio, plastic firefighter hats and all.
Scott, Kristina, and Lexi were less than gods on Tuesday, but more than mere mortals.
As promised, we know where this post ends:
Please don't put burning cigarette butts in garbage cans.
