The ongoing threat of excessive rainfall and flash flooding through Sunday evening will increase during the day Monday. On Monday, there is a Moderate Risk (categorical 3/4) of Excessive Rainfall for portions of southern to central Utah. The highest threat area will be rain sensitive basins such as recent burn scars, slot canyons, typically dry washes, and slickrock areas. Those planning recreation in such areas should consider alternative plans, and in general those in the threat area should remain weather aware.

Update — Utah Co. The fire is estimated at 2 acres. Smokejumpers arrived this evening and began constructing containment line around the fire’s perimeter. Crews will remain on scene overnight to monitor the fire, secure the perimeter and prevent any spread or reignition.

Crews inbrief this morning on the . The fire is still approximately 2 acres and 50% contained.

There was minimal fire activity overnight, due to the hard work of firefighters yesterday. Crews are hiked in again today, to continue to extinguish the remaining hotspots. Today's extreme temperatures will test the perimeter. If it holds through today's weather and conditions, there will likely be an increase in containment tonight.

Tibble Fork Reservoir and the parking lot remains closed due to helicopter and bucket support of the crews. This will be reevaluated this evening based on fire activity. This is also true for the Timpooneke Road and Campground. Mutual Dell has been allowed to repopulate.
