🚨 FIRE RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT 🚨
Beginning tonight at 12:00 AM, fire restrictions will be in effect for the Spanish Fork City South Bench Neighborhoods, Incorporated River Bottoms, Reservoir, Recreation, and Campground areas.

🔥 The following activities are PROHIBITED until further notice:
❌ Open fires of any kind
❌ Charcoal cooking
❌ Fireworks, pyrotechnics, tracer ammunition, and sky lanterns
❌ Cutting, welding, or grinding metals in dry vegetation
❌ Operating motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, or other small combustion engines without an approved and working spark arrestor

We ask everyone to do their part to help protect our community, our first responders, and our natural resources. Thank you for helping keep Spanish Fork safe! 🚒

Firefighter Kelsie Christensen has returned home after a two-week wildland deployment in Texas alongside crews from the Woodland Hills Fire Department.🌵🏜️
Her assignment was part of an Utah Task Force contingency requested by the State of Texas to assist with ongoing wildland fire operations.

As Firefighter Christensen returned home, Captain Jared Haas headed out on his own two-week deployment to the Merrill Fire in Nebraska to assist with wildland operations for a fire burning over 600000 acres near Ogallala.🌲🚒 His assignment comes through the State of Utah Interstate Compact, responding to a request for assistance from Nebraska.

We’re proud to have them representing Spanish Fork Fire & EMS and answering the call beyond our community. 💪🚒

Another day. Another brush fire.🔥

Yesterday Spanish Fork Fire & EMS sent Engine 61, Brush 61, Brush 62, Water Tender 61, and Battalion Chief 61 to assist on the Milrace Fire With Springville Fire & RescueSpringville Firefighters Local 5439 and multiple other local agencies on the east side of Utah Lake. As of this morning it was reported the fire is 100% contained.

Conditions right now are extremely dry, and they’re not getting better anytime soon, remember:

🚗 Avoid parking in dry grass
🔥 Be cautious with burning and equipment
🏕 Be responsible while recreating
🐻Only you can prevent wildfires

At approximately 12:21 PM today, Spanish Fork Fire & EMS crews responded to a brush fire near Legacy Park. With the help of our partners at Mapleton City Fire Department, Springville Fire & RescueSpringville Firefighters Local 5439, Woodland Hills Fire Department, Spanish Fork Police Department, and Utah County Fire Department, crews were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire before it could spread further. 🚒

While it may still feel like winter, our fuels are already dry. Grasses and brush can ignite quickly, and it doesn’t take much for a small spark to turn into a larger problem.⚠️

We’re asking our community to help us out by staying mindful with open flames, equipment, and anything that could ignite dry vegetation.

🤝 Strong partnerships and a quick response help keep Spanish Fork safe.
