🐾 🎉 NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT | Meet Ms. TaNekia Simmons! 🐾

The Bullpup Family is gaining an experienced educator with a heart for children, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome Ms. TaNekia Simmons to Marvin E. Lewis, Sr. Elementary School!

Born and raised in Hancock County and a proud Hancock Central High School Class of 1998 graduate, Ms. Simmons brings more than 15 years of experience serving children and families. As a proud mother of three—one daughter and two sons—she understands the importance of building strong relationships, nurturing young minds, and creating environments where every child can thrive.

When she's not in the classroom, Ms. Simmons enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. Her passion for education comes from a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children. She believes that early childhood education provides the foundation for lifelong success, and there is nothing more rewarding than watching students learn, grow, and gain confidence in themselves.

This school year, Ms. Simmons is excited to collaborate with her fellow educators and use her knowledge and experience to help every student reach their fullest potential. Her goal is to inspire students to become independent learners who believe in their ability to succeed, both inside and outside the classroom.

Her favorite quote perfectly reflects the excellence she brings to our Bullpup Family:
