I would like to personally congratulate PVT Isabella Brooks on her enlistment into the Illinois Army National Guard today! PVT Brooks has enlisted as a 68W (Combat Medic) & will be in the Unit in Sparta! She is going to pursue a career in the medical field & is going to take advantage of her 100% tuition assistance that she gets from the Army National Guard.

PVT Farrar enlisted as a 91L (Construction Equipment Repairer) & will be apart of the Engineer Unit in Sparta. PVT Farrar graduated from Marissa High School this year & is looking forward to the benefits of working for the State of Illinois & being in the Illinois Army National Guard simultaneously! Two of Sparta High Schools finest have recently enlisted into the Illinois Army National Guard! PVT Darnell Smith (Pictured Left) enlisted as a 12W (Carpentry & Masonry Specialist) & will attend drill in the Sparta Unit! PVT Jamarian Henry enlisted as a 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) & will attend drill in the Murphysboro Unit! Both of these Soldiers have the opportunity of using the National Guards 100% coverage to ANY Illinois State funded College or Trade School! Congratulations & welcome to the team!
