Honor and Remember 2025

Greetings folks, this is Jerry Andrews (photographer). We have managed to get some great photos of everyone (??). This ride is special to so many of us and it has costs. Therefore, I am going to posting a link below to the photos and you will be able to pay $12 to download each file (or order a print). This will act as a fund raiser for Dillons Ride moving forward. Benny is supportive of this. I am very proud of the images we took of the event and those of you on bikes. Barring going to another event or visting the Tail of the Dragon, you will not get better action photos of you on your bike. If you have any questions, you can reach out to me specifically on FB or my number is 317-938-3502.

So, go to the link, find your photo(s) and select the down arrow to download. It will prompt you to included your email and then a way to pay. This is an "experiment" to see how committed folks are to pay for pictures and in turn, to support the ride with a purchase. If you purchase a download, your image will NOT have watermarks on once the purchase is completed.

On a final note, (I hate to say this) my images are copyrighted, the "proofs" you see here have watermarks. They also have encoded data with my copyright info. It is bad juju to just copy the image with the watermarks, its not nice and honestly its a violation of the copyright laws. We are providing these images to benefit the ride and help build the scholarship fund, I simply ask you to respect those "rules".

Thank you for the support.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this year's Dillon Ride. Although we cannot name every individual who played a crucial role in the event, we would like to recognize a few exceptional individuals who provided invaluable support during a difficult time following Larane's passing.

First, we extend our gratitude to Todd Holland for his outstanding work in managing the route and ensuring the safety of all participants. We acknowledge the significant responsibility you undertook on short notice.

We also appreciate the support provided by the Laurel Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Ashe County Sheriffs Department, Jefferson, West Jefferson, and Wilkesboro Police Departments in maintaining a secure environment for our riders.

Furthermore, we thank Crossroads Harley Davidson in Wilkesboro for hosting us for the sixth consecutive year. We also appreciate Freightliner and the Ride of Pride Trucks for their participation, as their vehicles are always an impressive sight.

Additionally, the Sparta VFW became an invaluable addition for our wreath ceremony at Ashelawn . We love having you and are extremely thankful for the six years running you have suppoerted us.

Most importantly, we thank all the riders who joined us, as their participation made the event possible.

(Jerry Andrews) I want to echo Benny's thoughts, yesterday was clearly a challenge but we, dedicated few saw our mission through to honor Sgt. Balldridge. I appreciate you all, saying that seems so trivial but look around at who showed up! Its clear what you stand for and represent. I have had the opportunity to run into a few of you at events in Washington, others I KNOW I can count on with nothing more than a phone call. You know who you are, you are my friends and brothers/sisters. Thank you for what you do at this event and the untold others that may go unrecogized to the general public but we get a chance to touch the hearts of broken families in their most desperate hour. I am proud to be associated with you. God Bless you all!

Benny had the shot of the day as far as I am concerned but I wanted to share my collection with you all. The download code is 3809 if you want to download any or all of the images. If you run into any issues, let me know, I ll be happy to assist.

A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out on such a rainy day to help us show the honor and respect to one of our Nation’s heroes!

I hope everyone gets home or back to the motels without issue and then on home on the coming day(s).

I am once again humbled at the response from all of you. Each and every single one of you help keep the promise of ‘Never Forgotten’!

Special thanks to CrossRoads Harley-Davidson and the Laurel Springs Vol. Fire Department for helping us make this event the huge success it was!

Till next time, remember to honor our Veterans every day!
