Sparta Troop 150 - BSA Troop 150 Sparta, New Jersey, is chartered by the Sparta United Methodist Church. Meetings are Monday nights at the church from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

Troop 150, Sparta, New Jersey, is chartered by the Sparta United Methodist Church. The troop meets on Monday nights in the Demarest Hall at the church. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and end at 8:30 PM. While membership is comprised mostly of boys from Sparta, we have or have had scouts from many surrounding communities, including Ogdensburg, Lafayette, Jefferson, Byram, and Andover, participate in our

program. Fulfilling the promise of a boy-led program, the Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders, through a monthly PLC meeting, plan the weekly program with the assistance of the troop Instructors. We had a beautiful campout this weekend at Forestburg Scout Reservation. There was LOTS of fishing, archery, fishing, rifle shooting, fishing, cooking, fishing, and a hike to the waterfall. Followed by more fishing. The weather was enjoyable and we all had a great time.

Last weekend Troop 150 camped at Alpine Scout Camp. We went on a hike for a nice view of the Hudson River while enjoying 500 feet of stairs. At camp, we participated in archery, BB and rock climbing as well as a couple games of gaga ball. Saturday night the Scouts retired flags collected by Pack 83 and then enjoyed a roaring fire. The weather was nice and everybody had a good time.
