Please spread the word to your family & friends, especially those that may be more vulnerable to this type of scam. I've seen posts from so many people I know that have received this text message.

Earlier today a family member sent me this document. Its a scam. In this instance it came as a text. IF you are issued a citation for circuit or municipal court, the citation will be hand delivered or via the United States Postal Service. AGAIN THIS IS A SCAM!

Just a head's up for everyone: Charles and AJ will be out of the office next week, April 27 - May 1, at a Spring CVSO Conference. I will be in the office to answer phone calls most of next week, but need to close the office at noon on Tuesday the 28th & will be out all day on Wednesday the 29th. I will be back on Thursday the 30th to return any missed calls.
Charles and AJ will be back on Monday, May 4th and will return calls & emails as quickly as they can. They both have appointments coming in on Monday, so please be patient.
If you have questions regarding your claims, and don't want to wait until the 4th for an answer, you can call the VA Regional Office at 1-800-827-1000.

We've had a few calls over the last couple of weeks, regarding the 1095-B forms for your health care coverage from the VA & why you haven't received them this year. I called the VA Regional office to talk to someone in that department & this is what they told me: The VA has communicated with the IRS to report your coverage & you are not required to send proof with your tax return. So, they are no longer mailing a physical copy of the 1095-B unless you call & request one. You can also go online to va.gov, sign in, & print a copy if you absolutely have to have one.
If you have any questions, give the VA Regional office a call at 1-800-827-1000 (General) or 1-877-222-8387 (this is the phone number I found on va.gov for specific tax form questions)
Please keep in mind, this is the BIG VA, not your local VA hospital or clinic.
