A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM today. A combination of gusty winds of 30-40 mph and relative humidity as low as 10-20% will create significant to extreme fire danger. Fire can spread rapidly in these conditions, so outside burning is discouraged outside of experienced fire personnel.

Another year has come and gone. As we've closed out 2025, we look back and want to thank all of our firefighters for doing all that they do to protect the community. We also want to thank the community for supporting us in all we do. We handled 704 calls for service in 2025, our busiest year to date. We had our 2025 annual banquet last night and enjoyed some amazing food from Bear Mountain Brewery out of Oldfield. Congratulations to Dustin Markle and Robert Klick on their years of service awards.

Yesterday at approximately 2:45pm crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of T Hwy and Lost Creek Rd. Upon arrival they found a two vehicle accident with one vehicle off a small bridge into a creek. Ozark Fire Protection District EN13 and BC11 were called for mutual aid. One patient had to be extricated out but thankfully only had minor injuries. Once the patient was extricated crews had to use rope systems to get the patient up to a waiting ambulance for transport. A huge thanks to Ozark Fire, CCAD, our Dispatchers, Finley River Towing and the Christian County Sheriff's Department for their help.

Fire Crews were dispatched to a commercial structure fire on Industrial Park Dr at 11am today. First arriving units found a large metal building heavily involved in fire. Due to the high heat several surrounding departments were called in to help. The fire started in the south end of the building in a powder coating and body shop. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion but was released a short time later. A big thanks to Ozark Fire Protection District, Logan Rogersville Fire Protection District, Nixa Fire, Highlandville Fire, Strafford Fire, Battlefield Fire and Chadwick Fire. Also thanks to CCAD and CCES.

Come out tonight, we will be there with the Engine on display.
