Many of my constituents have reached out to me in recent months to share their thoughts and concerns about data centers. This afternoon, I sent out the attached press release to celebrate the recent passage of an 18-month data center moratorium in La Crosse County. The Monroe County Board will be considering a moratorium on data centers next month and I hope it is passed so residents have time to ensure that we are fully informed about the effects of data centers and so people can make their voices heard. A moratorium will give county leaders the time they need to examine this serious issue thoroughly and create a plan to protect the Driftless Region's residents, environment, natural resources, and economy.

📱 Contact your township supervisors asking for an 18-month moratorium based on the county one.

📧 Ask for a moratorium to be placed on your township’s next agenda. Do it by email to have documentation.

📅 Go to township meetings and use the public comments time to push for an 18-month moratorium.

📰 Follow and subscribe to Monroe County Herald - they are reporting on data centers across the county.
