9-1-1 Communications Center Spartanburg County 9-1-1 is a consolidated stand alone 9-1-1 Communications Center in the upstate of South Carolina.

The center is the Primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Spartanburg County, and dispatches for police, fire and EMS.

Congratulations to Michelle on a Life Saving Achievement!

We are proud to recognize Michelle for her outstanding work and in helping save a life through her emergency call instructions.

During a critical incident, Michelle remained calm, focused, and compassionate while providing clear, lifesaving instructions to her caller. Because of her guidance and quick actions, a life was saved.

Moments like these serve as a reminder of the incredible impact our telecommunicators have every day. While they may never meet the people they help, their knowledge, composure, and dedication make a difference when it matters most.

Please join us in congratulating April on her promotion to Training Coordinator, where she will lead our Training Department!

As our current Training Coordinator, Tim, prepares for his retirement next month, we are excited to welcome April into this important leadership role.

April has been a valued member of the Spartanburg 9-1-1 family for nearly 13 years. Throughout her career, she has served as a Telecommunicator I, II, and III, a Certified Training Officer (CTO), and most recently as a Classroom and In-Service Trainer. Her dedication to learning, mentoring others, and continuously improving our training program has made a lasting impact on our center.
