Spearfish Community Foundation We are one of 72 Community Savings Accounts in South Dakota. We accept & administer charitable gifts to people & organizations that benefit our community.

Welcome to the Spearfish Community Foundation. Even though we are an agent of the South Dakota Community Foundation, we are able to accept and administer charitable gifts, give good grants to our local nonprofit groups and organizations, and also give scholarships to hopeful young people from our region. A Community Savings Account (CSA) offers you an opportunity to give a perpetual gift to the community of Spearfish. The fund is invested by the SDCF and 4.5% of the average value is available to give back to nonprofits each year. As the fund grows, so does our ability to make a local impact. Our board of directors gives grants to support basic needs and enhance the quality of life in and around Spearfish. Giving back to the Spearfish Community Foundation

South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) has awarded $345,000 worth of grants to seven nonprofit organizations in the Black Hills!💙

Through innovative and thoughtful approaches, these organizations are tackling critical community needs. Whether it’s preventing homelessness, empowering youth, enhancing education, advancing workforce readiness, or supporting seniors, their work is transforming lives across South Dakota.

"We are excited to support the work of these great organizations- each of which supports our mission of building a stronger South Dakota for tomorrow," stated Ginger Niemann, SDCF's Senior Program Officer.
