Roane County welcomes the opportunity to work with both new and expanding companies! This site will provide insight into Roane County's available and productive labor force; affordable and abundant natural resources; advanced telecommunication networks; convenient and accessible transportation networks and modern industrial parks. Working with the State of West Virginia, the community can

provide incentives and benefits allowing companies locating in Roane County to be established with less capital and with greater savings, both in the short and long term. Available incentives include tax credits, low-interest loans, training grants, infrastructure improvements, as well as customized local inducements.

Inviting all to come and check out this FREE event, discover how drone technology is being used all around us, everyday. Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, these Private & Public sector companies and organizations will demonstrate how they're utilizing drones in their daily operations. Various traditional aircraft also on display. Drone competition demonstrations on Sunday from Our Lady of Fatima school competition teams; dare to take a try at competing against the students?! Ask me how!

SO EXCITED to have the EAA Chapter 1336 General Chuck Yeager Chapter coming to Boggs Field on Saturday, September 12th and providing free flights for 30 youths ages 8-17 from Roane, Calhoun, Clay, Gilmer, Wirt, Lewis, Braxton and Webster Counties. Pre-registration is required, first come first serve. Registration link for the EAA Chapter 1336 Young Eagles Flights opens today, Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

96 NEW BUSINESSES CREATED BY YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS (under the age of 30) were started in West Virginia in the month of July. All of them qualified for the "Young Entrepreneur Fee Waiver Program".
