The Open Speed Horse Show at the Owen County Fairgrounds, which was rained out earlier this month, has been rescheduled and will take place this Sunday, August 23rd!

The annual Coal City Community Vol. Fire Dept. Car Show & Fish Fry will take place this Saturday, August 15th! The car show will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fish fry will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a fun community event and delicious food while supporting the fire department!

The Gosport Lazy Days Festival starts this Thursday, August 13th, and continues Friday (August 14th), Saturday (August 15th), and Sunday (August 16th)! The annual Coal City Community Volunteer Fire Department Car Show & Fish Fry is set for Saturday, August 15th, and promises an afternoon of classic cars and delicious food. The multi-talented Lloyd Wood Band will take the stage at the Historic Tivoli Theatre this Thursday, July 30th, at 7 PM with an evening of country music! Lloyd and his band will perform a mix of classic country favorites and original songs. Lloyd’s down-home humor and vocal impressions such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Elvis, just to name a few, will also be featured in the show. Lloyd Wood is a highly acclaimed singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Owen County, and one of Indiana’s most beloved entertainers. He is a local and regional favorite and is nationally recognized for his contributions to country music. Lloyd is a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash award, which is the highest honor bestowed by an Indiana governor.
