Yesterday Deputy Chief Fletcher and Captain Campbell had the honor of attending a luncheon in Manchester hosted by Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance where checks were presented totaling 2.65 million dollars. Fall Creek Falls Fire Department was humbled to receive $80,778.00 of that money to better serve our community. Through this grant award we were able to purchase new turnout gear and a compressor and cascade system to fill SCBA bottles. We want to thank everyone who is part of making this program possible for departments across the great state of Tennessee.

We are out at the Spencer fire works doing stand by. Everybody come on out!!

Multiple trees down and power is out in places including our station. SVEC has been notified and is enroute. FCFFD members had a fire alarm just after the heaviest part of the storm had come through and had to clear trees from the road to respond.

We had the honor today along with Piney Fire Dept of providing coverage for Mt. Crest Volunteer Fire Department as they laid to rest their former chief and friend, Dennis “Big D” Frazier. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them in this difficult time.
