Hello Owen County K9 Friends and Supporters,

The Owen County Sheriff's Office K9 program currently has two K9 working dogs; Hank and Paya. Hank and Paya work hard to identify criminal activity relating to drugs as well as help to track down missing and wanted individuals.

The K9 program is 100% funded by community contributions. We would like to give our sincere appreciation to the community members that have made this program successful to date. We are currently seeking assistance to help continue to keep Hank and Paya trained, strong, and healthy.

You can help by donating to the department K9 fund by reaching out to Sheriff White, Chief Deputy Miller, K9 Handler Deputy Rhienhart with K9 Hank, or K9 Handler Deputy Hallam with K9 Paya. We will also have a donation opportunity at the Owen County Fair at the Sheriff’s booth. Come see us there! Thanks in advance for all of our community support!

Today the Owen Valley Law Enforcement Pathway class presented their research assignment to our office. Savannah Leighton, Bradley Jesse, and Presley Zehr did a wonderful job describing the roles and responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Office and combated the fear of public speaking. We are proud of their hard work and the quality of their characters. Thank you kids, you are making your community proud.
