Spencerport is proud to partner with the and the Department of Public Safety to launch "Spot the Stop," a data-driven, injury-prevention initiative to improve student safety and increase driver education surrounding school buses.

This prevention effort is part of the Bus Safety Patrol program that launched in 2023. Since then, more than 19,000 tickets have been issued - that averages to almost 30 incidents per school day in Monroe County.

Please talk with your student or new driver about bus and motorist safety. Resources are provided on our website and from the county and URMC.

Every stop-arm violation is preventable. Every child deserves a safe trip to and from school.

On August 10, representatives from Spencerport CSD joined Ogden Town Supervisor Mike Zale and Ogden Farmer's Library Assistant Bridget LaDuca to collect school supplies generously donated by the local community to benefit students in the Spencerport District. Starting in July, the Ogden Farmer's Library and Town of Ogden set up collection bins to encourage the local community to support Spencerport students. The result was an enormous collection bin overflowing with backpacks, notebooks, folders, pens, art supplies, tissues, and many other items which will go directly to benefitting Spencerport families.
