Our firefighters responded to 69 calls for service in August, bringing our 2026 year-to-date total to 790 calls.

At this same point last year, we responded to 79 calls in August 2025, with a year-to-date total of 673 calls.

Behind every call is a team of dedicated volunteers willing to drop what they’re doing and answer the call when their neighbors need help. As a 100% volunteer fire district, we’re proud to continue serving our community every day.

A tornado watch has been issued for our region, through 11 pm tonight. A tornado or two is possible, along with damaging straight line winds. Heavy downpours of rain within this very humid airmass with potential for localized flooding. Isolated large hail is also possible.

We're honored to partner with the American Red Cross of Western New York to host the blood drive in memory of Spencerport High School grad Cassandra Cammarata.

Cassandra worked at Unity Hospital while studying to become a registered nurse. Her passion was helping others, and those who knew her remember her as compassionate, loving, kind, and giving.

Her mother Christina shared “She absolutely loved helping people and honestly anyone who was lucky enough to meet her. She had a heart of gold, was compassionate, loving, kind and giving. She passed away at 25 years old and donating blood in her honor is something that Cassandra would be incredibly grateful for, as this, saving lives was her passion.”

Welcome Home, Red Onions! 🧅🏆

After a successful weekend on Long Island, the Spencerport Red Onions are back home!

The team was welcomed back with a traditional wet down, celebrating an incredible performance at the 2026 NYS Championship Drill in Hempstead. The Red Onions finished 3rd out of 30 teams from across New York State and scored the most points by a team from off the island!

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and teamwork this crew put in all season long. Congratulations, Red Onions!

Congratulations to our very own Spencerport Red Onions Drill Team who brought home a 3rd-place finish at the 2026 NYS Championship Drill in Hempstead this past weekend!

The Red Onions placed 3rd overall out of 30 teams from across New York State. This is only the 4th time in history a team not from Long Island came in the top 5 at the NYS Championship.

Meet the New Engine 2935!

We’re proud to introduce the newest addition to the Spencerport Fire District fleet, Engine 2935, a state-of-the-art Pierce Sabre built with firefighter safety, reliability, and performance in mind.

With a 1,000-gallon water tank and a 2,000 GPM pump, 2935 gives our crews the capability they need to bring a dependable water supply and serious firefighting power to the scene.

What does a new fire engine matter for you? When you call 911, you deserve to know that the firefighters responding have the right equipment to protect you, your family, your home, and our community. This investment helps us continue providing the level of service our community deserves today and for years to come.

We couldn’t be more proud of our Junior Firefighters!

Their two-day Mini Academy, featured by the local TV stations, highlighting the hands-on training, teamwork, and dedication of the next generation of firefighters.

The Spencerport Fire District is offering a new program to give teens a firsthand look at the fire service.

Day 2 of Junior Firefighter Mini Academy wrapped up this afternoon. The highlight of today’s training was a live vehicle fire burn, where our junior firefighters witnessed a vehicle fire from ignition to full involvement and then worked together to extinguish it under the close supervision of our Junior Firefighter Program leaders.

Our junior firefighters put their practical skills to the test during Mini Academy through training modeled after the NYS Firefighter course Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations (BEFO). From water supply and fire behavior to ground ladders, Stop the Bleed, and live fire operations, these young firefighters had a firsthand look at what it takes to serve their community.

We’re incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm this group brought to the Mini Academy!
