This past Tuesday, we were proud to recognize several members of our department during a promotional badge pinning ceremony. We also celebrated two members who entered their new roles as Community Risk Reduction Officers. This special event marked an important milestone in their careers and reflected their hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our community.

Promotions in the fire service represent more than a new badge. They reflect leadership, responsibility, and the trust earned from peers and the community alike. We are excited to see these individuals continue to grow in their new roles and help lead our department forward.

Please join us in congratulating our newly promoted members and their families, who have supported them every step of the way. We are grateful for their service and proud to celebrate this achievement with them. Thank you to all the family, community members, local leaders and firefighters who were able to attend.

Congratulations to all!

On April 2, state and local agencies will conduct a statewide test of emergency warning systems as part of a coordinated effort led by the Texas Division of Emergency Management.

🕙 When: Between 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
📱 What to expect: You may receive test alerts on your phone or see notifications through local systems (likely text messages, phone calls, or emails).

This is only a test. No action is needed. The goal is to ensure systems work properly and are ready when real emergencies happen. Take a moment to make sure your emergency alerts are turned on, and your contact information is up to date. Remember, you can register for emergency alerts at WarnCentralTexas.org.

* Avoid waiting until you feel thirsty; hydrate regularly.
* Take breaks in shaded or cool areas to prevent heat-related illness.
* Watch for signs of heat exhaustion in yourself and others (dizziness, fatigue, nausea).

Let’s all do our part to keep this event safe, enjoyable, and incident-free. Have a great time and take care of one another!

Every year, this night reminds us just how special our PFD family truly is.

Our annual banquet is a time to celebrate the dedication, sacrifice, and heart of our firefighters — and none of it would be possible without the incredible support behind the scenes.

Thank you to our families for standing beside us, supporting us through long shifts and tough calls. We are grateful for you every single day.

A special thank you to our PFD Board Members for your leadership and continued commitment to our department.

Here’s to another year of service, camaraderie, and community! 🚒
