If you don't need to be out then stay home. Water is starting to pool and flood the low water crossings.

Several water rescue calls across the County right now.

Turn around, don't drown.

A Flood Watch has been issued which includes the I-35 corridor, Hill Country and southern Edwards Plateau. Rain amounts generally from 1-3 inches with pockets up to 5 inches are expected which could quickly lead to flooding due to recent rainfall. There is potential for rapid, life-threatening flooding of rivers, creeks, and low-lying areas today into Wednesday morning. Have a way to receive warning information!

9 AM - Tonight's storm chance for Central Texas is already causing big problems across West Texas.

Numerous flash flood warnings around Midland/Odessa and it's still coming down in buckets. A few stronger/severe storms in the mix as well. This activity will eventually pick up an eastward motion, but we'll have hours to watch it evolve before it rolls in locally.

Data is going to continue to bounce around a bit regarding the timing of tonight's storm complex, so have some flexibility in mind. The latest hi-res data is pushing the timing up justttt a smidge for the I-35 corridor.

No change to our concerns; squall lines are good at kicking out strong/damaging wind gusts up to 60 MPH, but not as good at supporting large hail or a significant tornado threat. This is our third squall line to come through in the last week, so hopefully you know the drill by now of how to get your property ready for it.
