Dishman Hills Natural Resources Conservation Area and Camp Caro Trailhead will remain open through the DNR shutdown.

As of 12:01am on Friday, July 23, all public lands owned by Washington State Department of Natural Resources will close indefinitely due to fire risk. Since the Dishman Hills Natural Areas are jointly owned and managed by DNR, Spokane County Parks, Recreation & Golf and Dishman Hills Conservancy, the following trailheads will remain open: Camp Caro Trailhead, Glenrose Trailhead, Phillips Creek Trailhead, Iller Creek Trailhead, and Stevens Creek Trailhead.

We encourage you to be especially cautious while using trails because fire risk is extreme. Please refrain from driving or parking on dry vegetation, using chainsaws or equipment that uses fuel or has flammable components, or smoking ci******es on public lands. If you see a fire of any kind - even an attended campfire or barbecue, call 911 and report it to Spokane Valley Fire Department.
