Kiwanis Keeps Kids Reading!

📚 Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the privilege of visiting 14 schools across the East Valley and Central Valley School Districts to help keep kids reading all summer long! Through the Kiwanis Keeps Kids Reading program, we were able to put over **5,000 brand-new books** into the hands of local students.

The Spokane Valley Kiwanis Club is raising $15,000 to provide a free book to every Title I elementary student in Spokane Valley—helping prevent summer learning loss.

Many children don’t have access to books over the summer, putting them at risk of falling behind. Your donation can help build reading skills, confidence, and a brighter future—one book at a time.

The Spokane Valley Kiwanis is proud to support the incredible work of our local first responders! 💙

This week, we donated 1,700 Paw Patrol stuffed animals to the Spokane Valley Fire Department and the Spokane Valley Police Department to help bring comfort to children during difficult and often frightening situations.

These small gestures can make a big difference—offering a sense of security, warmth, and reassurance when it’s needed most. 🐾

Thank you to our firefighters and police officers for the compassion and care you show our community every single day. We’re honored to partner with you in making Spokane Valley a safer, kinder place for everyone.
