What a fantastic day at Lidgerwood yesterday!

We kicked things off with the Spokane Lilac Princesses reading with students out on the field, making for a memorable afternoon in the sunshine. Families also joined us for Book Up Night, where our K–2 students picked out 12 books each to enjoy all summer long.

We were also proud to host a mobile blood drive, helping give back to our community in a meaningful way.

The day wrapped up with our annual End of Year Concert. The weather was amazing, the company was wonderful, and the food kept everyone happy and full! A huge thank you to Mr. Garvin for putting together another outstanding performance and helping create such a special evening for our school community.

Days like these remind us what makes Lidgerwood such a great place to learn, grow, and connect.

Nothing beats a beautiful spring afternoon, a cozy spot outside, and a brand-new book! ☀️📚
A huge thank you to the Spokane Rotary for gifting us these amazing books to 4th and 5th graders. As you can see, we wasted absolutely no time diving right into our new adventures!

🌟 An Incredible STEM Day at Providence Holy Family Hospital! 🏥🔬
​Our 5th graders from Lidgerwood had the absolute best time exploring the world of medicine and healthcare today for their Holy Family STEM Day! From hands-on experiments to learning from real medical heroes, it was an unforgettable experience.
​Here is a look at what our amazing students got to do:
​Checking Vitals: Students practiced using stethoscopes on patient simulators to listen to heartbeats and check vitals.
​Surgical Tech & Diagnostics: They tried their hands at advanced surgical tools on simulated monitors and learned how to read real X-rays of bones.
​Respiratory Therapy: Students discovered how breathing treatments work with an interactive bronchoscope demonstration.
​Compounding Lab: The kids became pharmacists for the day, measuring and mixing up ingredients at the interactive pharmacy station.
​A massive thank you to Providence Holy Family Hospital and Providence Sacred Heart Children's Hospital for hosting us, providing a wonderful lunch setup, and sending everyone home with awesome swag bags! 🎒✨

As the leaders of our school, the 5th grade Leopards are staying busy out in the community! 🐾 Last week, our students attended the city-wide career fair and had an absolute blast learning about different paths for their futures.
​From chatting with local school counselors to exploring opportunities with the police department, they were fully engaged. Some of our Leopards even tried on the gear at the Spokane Valley Fire Department booth! 🧑‍🚒🚒
