Are you caring for a relative or friend — your grandma, a cousin, or somebody else who needs your help with care? Perhaps your part started out small, but now you’re helping your loved one with everything from managing doctor visits to bathing. If you are an unpaid caregiver, 18 or older, aiding a loved one contact us for free or low-cost help for YOU. The Caregiver Support Program, a division of

Frontier Behavioral Health located in Spokane, Washington offers a variety of services under the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP), Medicaid Alternative Care (MAC) and Tailored Supports for Older Adults (TSOA) to residents of Spokane county and may include:
- Support groups and counseling
- Caregiver training
- Respite care, if you need a break
- Purchasing supplies and/or medical equipment
- Other services necessary to help the unpaid caregiver

Living Alone and Need Help? If you are 55+ and have trouble with things such as bathing, dressing, walking, etc., and don’t have a caregiver, please contact us as we may be able to offer help. The Caregiver Support Program - Frontier Behavioral Health receives funding from Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington.

These workshops dive into real life topics like recognizing early signs of dementia, starting the conversation, and understanding the diagnosis process.

NAMI Family-to-Family Educational Course is a free 8-week educational course for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental health conditions. It’s designed to help you support an adult with a mental health condition while maintaining your own wellbeing, too. It meets for 2 ½ hours each week, and each class builds on the knowledge of previous classes.

NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises. It is a designated evidenced-based program, which means that research shows that Family-to-Family significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition.
