Excited to see our Wolff Fellow program bringing great talent to local organizations.
With a recent degree from Gonzaga University in psychology and communication studies, Judge Thomas Kearns is using his unique skill set to make a difference in his community. Thomas was recently hired as the STEP Coordinator for Priority Spokane thanks in part to funding from the Wolff Fellowship.
“I love mission-driven, community work. It’s been embedded in my education,” said Thomas.
As the STEP Coordinator, Thomas is responsible for marketing, branding, and communication for the program and working with the Center for Trauma and Stress Education to bring the platform to the national level.
“It’s rewarding because I know I’m helping community members understand themselves and their emotions in a better way, and growing a curriculum like this for a national stage is incredibly rewarding,” said Thomas.
Thomas is no stranger to Priority Spokane. He interned with the non-profit while in school as part of the Wolff Fellowship program. Eventually, Thomas plans to pursue a master's and doctorate degree and continue to be involved in meaningful, interdisciplinary work.
We’re honored to have you on our team, Thomas!
