One year ago, the Palisade and Eaton fires forever changed lives, communities, and landscapes in California’s LA County. Today we remember those lost, those displaced, and the firefighters and first responders who put everything on the line during the 2025 fire season.

As we mark this anniversary, we honor the resilience of the communities still rebuilding and acknowledge the lasting impact these fires continue to have. Behind every wildfire are real people, real homes, and real livelihoods.

At Blaze Barrier, this anniversary reinforces why we do this work. We remain committed to prevention, preparedness, and supporting those working to reduce wildfire risk, so fewer communities have to endure the same devastation in the years ahead.

Neko Caballero, Idaho Resident Firefighter,
“If I came across a home that had a product like this down it would inspire some confidence on our end. Knowing that this product has the capability of slowing down if not stopping the fire.”

Today, we solemnly honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001—a day of unimaginable tragedy that forever changed our nation. Among the brave souls were 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. Their courage and the memories of all those lost will never be forgotten. We stand united in remembrance and gratitude.

🔥The Blaze Barrier story🔥
August 2021 had been extremely hot and dry when a barn near Deer Park Washington caught fire.

Two firefighters were first to arrive with a truck carrying standard tools in around 200 gallons of water. The water could not put out the fires so the firefighters began digging a 18” wide trench to remove the fuel and starve the fire.

As the two men worked hard, the fire ran past them to a neighboring hay field ; burning for over a month.
Thousands of people were evacuated from their homes, 16,000 acres burned, and 18 homes were destroyed. The cost to suppress the fire was over $6.9 million.

Last year, Spokane faced the devastating Oregon fires, and unfortunately, these fires are likely to increase each year. That’s why Blaze Barrier was created: to safeguard what matters most.
