United Way as an organization has been around for more than 135 years, and the United Way of Spokane County has been part of the Spokane community for over one hundred years. Our vision is to continue building a stronger, more resilient community for many more years to come by uniting the community of Spokane County as a leader and example of action and investment in the community. OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
We are leaders in philanthropy, working to mobilize the community to create a better future for all in Spokane County by mobilizing the community to address inequities in education, income, and health services experienced by low-income and diverse populations.

•Education: Success in life begins with a quality education. And yet, millions of children and youth lack the support they need to strengthen their literacy, stay on track in school, graduate high school and find a career.

•Income: Chronic unemployment. In communities around the world, individuals and families are facing financial obstacles that prevent a good quality of life.

•Health: When it comes to accessing health services, a person’s zip code should never be a deterrent to success, nor should it be a barrier to improved health.
