We can’t say thank you enough to Numerica Credit Union and their Numerica Cares for Kids program, for awarding Alexandria’s House a $25,000 grant!!! 🎉🎉🎉 This generous gift will help us continue walking alongside young mothers as they build safe and stable futures for themselves and their children.

At Alexandria’s House we see every day what can happen when a young mom has the support and encouragement she needs to pursue her goals. Thanks to amazing community partners like Numerica, we can provide opportunities that help make those goals feel within reach. From transportation and educational support to meaningful experiences for moms and their babies.

Thank you, Numerica for believing in the power of investing in hope. We are honored to have you as partners in this work. ❤️

Fresh towels may seem like a small thing.
But for a woman arriving at shelter or a young mother preparing for a new chapter, everyday comforts can help restore a sense of normalcy.

Hope House and Alexandria's House are currently in need of new or gently used bath towels. If you'd like to help create a warm welcome for someone in our care or just need to make some room in your linen closet, we'd be grateful for your help!

PTSD doesn't have one face.

It can affect veterans, survivors of trauma, young people, parents, neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Many people carry invisible wounds that aren't immediately apparent to those around them.
This PTSD Awareness Month, let's replace judgment with understanding and stigma with compassion. Healing looks different for everyone, and no one should have to walk that journey alone.

At VOA, we're committed to supporting mental health and creating spaces where people feel safe, valued, and welcome as they are.
