🎉 Staff Appreciation Week is coming up! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff during Staff Appreciation Week, happening Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to show gratitude for the incredible people who support, teach, and care for our kids every day.

Here are a couple simple ways your student can get involved in saying thank you:
Tuesday, May 5: Write a note or card of appreciation.
Friday, May 8: Bring in a favorite flower to add to a class bouquet.

We also have some fun surprises planned throughout the week to celebrate our staff and make them feel extra appreciated!

We had so much fun at Art Night last week! It was wonderful to see so many students and families coming together to create and connect!

Our spring theme inspired a variety of hands-on projects, including spring flower stamp paintings, bright sun catchers, mixed-media rainbows, and flowers for our Roosevelt display case garden. We even did a little “spring cleaning” by turning donated t-shirts into fun, colorful jewelry!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the amazing team of volunteers who helped pull it off!

🎨 Art Night is Coming! 🌸

Join us Monday, March 23rd from 6:00–7:30 PM for a fun and creative Spring-themed Art Night! Stop by and try a variety of free art projects for all ages, including a very special collaboration with celebrated local artist Ava Barany of The Botanical Alchemists.

One of this year’s projects invites families to do a little “spring cleaning” at home! We are collecting old t-shirts that students will transform into handmade jewelry. If you have t-shirts that are no longer needed, we would love to put them to creative use—please send them to school with your student by March 19. 👕✨

Last week was our Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Hercules! These kids had such a blast and worked SO hard putting together a full play in just ONE WEEK! We loved watching all of their hard work come together on Friday night as proud families and our Bruin community gathered to celebrate and enjoy the show. What an incredible display of teamwork, courage, and creativity from our students! Missoula Children's Theatre is made possible by all your Teddy Trek support!

An all-star lineup of talented students from Lewis and Clark, Rogers, Shadle Park, North Central, and Ferris is teaming up with the Spokane Symphony for a high-energy, family-friendly side-by-side concert!
This one-of-a-kind event shines a spotlight on Spokane Public Schools’ incredible visual and performing arts programs and gives students a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn from—and perform with—professional musicians. Come cheer on the next generation of musical superstars.
