A second chance starts with one step forward. 💙⁠

After being incarcerated in July 2025, Braxston faced an uncertain future. When he was released, he hoped for a fresh start but had nowhere to return to and no clear path ahead.⁠
⁠
Through Goodwill's Foundational Community Supports program, Braxston connected with a housing specialist who helped him navigate the challenges of rebuilding his life. One of the biggest hurdles was restoring his lost housing voucher. Braxston stayed committed and completed the appeal process. His persistence paid off when his housing voucher was restored.⁠
⁠
Now, he has stability, hope, and the opportunity to build a new future.⁠

Sometimes a second chance begins with refusing to give up. 💙

Patricia remembers a time when it felt like every door was closed. She had no resources, nowhere to turn, and despite asking for help, she was repeatedly turned away. But she kept going.

When Patricia connected with Goodwill's Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program, she committed herself to making a change. Working closely with her case manager, she stayed engaged every step of the way. Her hard work paid off. Patricia found housing, built stability, and created a new foundation for her future.
