Look at this art from Ms. Swope’s kiddos.

So pretty. The 1st graders did a nice job of capturing some of the artistic qualities of these beautiful nighttime creatures.

Parent helper, Brenda Phillips and Art Attack Coordinator Sara Nerad helped with this art project as well.

Makes me think of the picture book Stellaluna by Janelle Cannon.

A small but mighty crew worked to clean, rake and bag needles, mow, and make ready The Living Classroom for several fall projects in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to Mrs. Phillips for her leadership and guidance, while taking care of our community garden.

Recess with Dads: A Wonderful Morning at Evergreen!

What an incredible turnout for Evergreen Elementary’s recent Recess with Dads event! Our playground was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun as dads, grandpas, and other trusted adults joined their children for a special morning together.

We kicked things off with donuts, coffee, juice, and opportunities to capture a few memorable photos. But the real highlight was something much simpler—spending quality time with our kids! Whether playing games, enjoying recess, or simply hanging out together, our guests brought an amazing energy to Evergreen.

Events like Recess with Dads remind us that family engagement doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes, it’s simply about showing up, slowing down, and being present in the lives of our children.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! The turnout was absolutely terrific, and seeing so many families connecting with their children and our school community was something special.

Need a Winter Coat? We’ve Got You Covered!

As the colder weather approaches, we want our Evergreen families to know that we have winter coats available for anyone in our school community who may need one! We have a variety of sizes, from smaller children’s coats to adult sizes up to medium.

If your child or someone in your family could use a warm coat this winter, please reach out to our school office. We’re happy to help!

That’s what being part of the Evergreen family is all about—taking care of one another!
