💙 June is National Reunification Month 💙

National Reunification Month recognizes the importance of families working toward safe and successful reunification. It is a time to acknowledge the dedication of parents, children, caregivers, social workers, attorneys, CASA volunteers, and community partners who work together to help families heal and thrive.

Reunification is often a challenging journey that requires commitment, growth, and support. When children can safely return home, maintaining family connections can promote stability, well-being, and positive outcomes.

At CASA, we believe every child deserves a safe, permanent home and the opportunity to maintain healthy family relationships whenever possible. This month, we celebrate the families who have worked hard to overcome obstacles and the professionals and volunteers who support them along the way.

There is no child who should have to carry their belongings in a garbage bag when entering foster care.

A wonderful nonprofit, CASA Partners, helps ensure children entering foster care receive backpacks filled with essentials like toiletries, pajamas, comfort items, blankets, books, and other necessities through their “My Bag” program. The organization was created to provide dignity, comfort, and support to children experiencing abuse, neglect, and displacement.

Since 2002, the My Bag program has distributed more than 20,000 backpacks and duffel bags to children entering foster care.

If you would like to help support these children and ensure they have what they need during an incredibly difficult transition, please consider making a donation through CASA Partners.

In addition to the My Bag program, CASA Partners also supports children by providing brand new shoes and clothes for school, other needs or desires the child might want, grants, therapeutic camp, and other initiatives designed to help ease the trauma and instability many foster children experience.

We are so excited for the CASA Partners Fundraiser this Saturday!
Thank you to everyone supporting Spokane County CASA and CASA Partners as we strive to better the lives of the children in our community.

We hope you’ll join us for a meaningful and fun evening supporting local kids. 💙

Here in Spokane, some kids enter foster care with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing. CASA Partners is changing that—bringing support and stability to children impacted by abuse and neglect.

Join us May 16 at The Pergola for an evening of connection and purpose: beer & wine tasting, handcrafted mocktails, charcuterie from local vendors, and a silent auction you won’t want to miss.

Help give vulnerable children what every child deserves—someone standing beside them. Get your tickets today: https://www.casapartners.org/group-events?utm_source=KXLY&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=2026&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_4_News_Now
