The Spokane community continues to wrap its arms around those affected by the Spokane Complex Fires with love and generosity. Announced today, longtime Spokane developer and community leader Walt Worthy has established the Karen Worthy Memorial Community Fund at Innovia Foundation in loving memory of his late wife, Karen Worthy. Through the fund, a one-time, $10,000 grant is available to eligible households whose primary residence was destroyed or rendered a total loss by the Spokane Complex Fires. The announcement was made at Balboa Elementary where Karen Worthy previously taught.
