The Burch Barn Pumpkin Patch

The Burch Barn Pumpkin Patch The Burch Barn is fall family fun! Always open for the season on the 4th Saturday in September🍁 He encouraged them to sell pumpkins. My personal favorite!! Lol!

It all began when we moved back to our hometown of Spooner, WI in 2009. Grandpa Burch wanted to teach our kids, Jerad, Jace and Emma, that hard work will pay off! He grew them that year as we had just moved into our little farmhouse across the road from where The Burch Barn is located. Grandpa Burch, Dan(dad) and the boys built the pumpkin wagon to display the pumpkins, gourds, and squash he grew.

The kids had to help harvest the pumpkins and sort them into their sizes to sell. They restocked the wagon everyday as needed. They especially loved helping customers load their pumpkins, because most of the time when they did this they would receive a nice size tip! The kids were home schooled that year and I remember them being very distracted during the fall watching the wagon for any possible customers! Each year it seemed to grow bigger and better. They had pallets of pumpkins around the pumpkin wagon. Then they sold corn bundles and straw bales. We all began to dream of a family business of a possible pumpkin patch someday. We had been through a rough season in life when every little sweet family moment was savored. So we loved the idea of a business where we could all work and be together! When we sold the farmhouse with plans to build across the road we made a new place for the wagon. Grandma Burch asked Emma if she wanted to offer a bake sale during the wagon sales the fall of 2013. Emma loves to bake so this was a definite go for her! The second year she had the bake sale we offered a free hay ride and bouncy house the same day. So many people came out to support her even though the weather was miserable that day! We knew that we lived in a great community but that was a sure testimony to it!! We are now in our 3rd year for the bake sale and this is year 7 for the pumpkin wagon. The property we've been blessed with has a vintage barn, rustic sheds & towering pine trees. It is the perfect place to host so much more. Thus, the pumpkin farm at The Burch Barn was born. The Burch Barn is currently a pumpkin patch serving up fall family fun! As you enter through the white shed the old wood rafters and the ambiance of the barn brings you back to simpler days with rustic charm and family togetherness! We'll be selling sweet goodies, food & drinks so your family can stay and play for hours (because you may be here all day, everyone is going to have that much fun!!)

Where do I begin? We have fun farm animals you can feed! Pigs, goats (of course! ) and cows! The 100ft Gunnysack Slide is a favorite!! Hold on tight to your gunnysack while you zip down the hill! You can make it a race with your friend, as there are two side by side runs!! The Grain Train is a nice ride in your own personal wagon that takes you back through the woods and along the rolling fields. You may even see some wildlife, because the deer love to eat our pumpkins! The Giant Corn Pit is fantastic! All you moms can come and relax in a sensory sigh of relief! Your kids can scoop and shovel and you can visit with your thoughts and refocus!! Okay, so really just a fun spot to chill. Hopefully the kids won't be throwing corn at you! The Straw Pyramid is about 10ft high, 30ft wide and has a slide too!! Wowza, it's fast so put your goggles on! Next up, the Pony Hop Derby Race!! Oh my gosh...prepare yourselves for some serious laughter! You'll feel just like a kid again trying to beat your spouse to the finish line! It's so fun and dorky and perfect for everyone! The Corn Maze is always a good trek on a cool autumn day. We've done our best to make you go crazy trying to find your way out! There's pumpkin bowling, rubber duckie races, yard games and bouncy houses! Also, we've put up fall picture options all around! It's our hearts motivation to see families investing quality time together. So, unless you're taking a picture or liking & sharing us on fb, put down your phone and make some wonderful memories everyone will be talking about for years to come!

New faces at Burch Barn... but we’re not new to the neighborhood! 🌾✨

We have some heart-filled shoes to fill as we officially step into ownership of the Barn. We want to take a moment to honor the Burch family: they have done an absolutely incredible job building this place into the local treasure it is today. We are so honored to carry on their beautiful legacy.

NewBeginnings

We’ve officially taken over, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this new chapter with you. As local owners who have built long-standing businesses right here in the area, we know just how much this property means to our community.

First things first: the pumpkin patch is definitely staying! 🎃 Don’t worry, fall traditions are safe with us, and we can’t wait to see your families back in the fields this season.

While we’ll always love a beautiful barn wedding, we’re expanding from just a wedding venue to a full event center for all of life’s big moments. From corporate gatherings to community celebrations, we’re ready to host it all.

We’re so honored to be part of your story and can’t wait to welcome you back to the barn. See you soon! ~The Dillon Clan ( Nick, Becky, Ronan and Icy)🥂
