We are looking for a few people to serve as election officials for the June 8th Primary Election in the Belmont area - that precinct operates out of Fire Station 9. June 8th won't be a high-volume election, so it'll be a good day to learn the ropes. Training (paid) is available and then the following election is in November. $160.00 for the day and $20 for training.

Come do you part to serve your County and State!

An UPDATE from a past post (before the election details were 100% confirmed), June 8th will be a Democratic Primary ONLY. Attached is the sample ballot for the 6/8/21 Dem. Primary. Anyone may vote in this election since we are not a party affiliated State.

The Republican Party will have various State and local GOP Conventions to determine whom will be on the November ballot for their party per districts. For more Republican Party information - please contact your local GOP units. (Spotsylvania has an office in the back of the Southpoint Parkway, along the back side of the shopping center. NOT THE County's OFFICE OF ELECTIONS.)

11/05/2020

The Department of Elections will not apply final voter credit until certification of the votes for the State. Your voter history – or voter credit may not populate until this time – normal protocol.
We have completed all totals for our County– actual votes cast and voter credits and have downloaded that information to the State site.

The day following each election, the Electoral Board has to canvass the votes…essentially a recount of all precincts and voting activity. Since that is complete, we were able to download the voters that were checked in at the pollbook, which serves as the “voter credit” you are looking up. Please remember – your vote was recorded (cast) as soon as it went in to the scanner.

If you have questions or concerns about the information displayed on the Virginia Department of Elections website regarding your personal voting record, please contact them directly at 1-800-522-9745 or email them at [email protected]

For folks looking up their Voter Credit for the 11/3/2020 Election:

Voter history – or voter credit will not populate until days after the election. The day following each election, the Electoral Board has to canvass the votes...essentially a recount of all precincts and voting activity. Once that is complete, we can begin downloading the voters that were checked in to the pollbook which serves as your voter credit. With the size of this election, it will be the end of the week when you can look up your voter credit.
