Hello SALT,
Thank you for sharing volunteers with us when Fort Plain flooded. Words can't describe how wonderfully helpful they were.

Welcome all the new "likes". When a disaster strikes this page will get busy. For now, be sure your family and friends prepare with stored food, water, first aid supplies, pet supplies, etc. Also, this is a great time to take classes through FEMA or Red Cross. Many free classes there that are full of knowledge useful in disaster. Check out how to prepare your home, business, help prepare your community and place of worship. Pack your GO bag now and keep it ready. In the next disaster you can spring into action.

The next meeting for the FMLTR will be Thursday, February 27 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Firemen's Home in Fort Plain.

As we continue to keep working on homes/businesses devastated in the flood that hit the Fort Plain area in June, and addressing homes from Hurricane Irene, we also look to the future. Disasters will happen. How we prepare to help each other in them, is what will make a difference. Plan with us and also help restore flood devastated homes as well.

NEEDS:
Always looking for skilled and unskilled volunteers.

It is great to see the continuing process of recovery from the Fort Plain flood. Several homes are in the rebuild process and the foundation is poured for one home needing to rebuild totally.
Great need continues for skilled and unskilled alike, to volunteer and help. Call the Volunteer Center at 705-8695 and we will place you at a job site.

So good to see so much progress in the Fort Plain area following the flood. The mud out phase is almost complete and the rebuild has already started. This is huge progress in so short of a time. Let us all focus on the homes who now have no first floor. We are looking for carpenters, sheet rockers, tapers, plumbers, cabinet installers and painters to volunteer. Please connect with us and lets get this done.

Work in the Fort Plain area following the flood continues to progress. Today's work day in Fort Plain, produced a lot as more mud out and guts outs occurred and a beam was raised into place for support in a foundation issue. Sheet rocking was done in an Irene affected home as well.
Sheet rock and insulation are in place in a couple homes in preparation for rebuilding once the homes are dry enough. Continued need for skilled and unskilled volunteers. Please connect with us and join with us to help our neighbors in the Fort Plain area. The need is great and we all can join hands to help them.
