Extra extra Read all about it .The town of spring city proclaims they are broke , however Ms.thang (city manager)is sporting around in a new s.u.v. and the public works assistant director is driving around in a new vehicle. So she keeps putting the town in further debt and the commission allows it .

I propose a challenge to the Mayor of SpringCity and the City Manager . Show up and actually support Shake The Lake and the park board members that work countless hours too make this event happen.

TAXPAYERS NEED TO KNOW. Rumor has it that the city manager paid city employees a full days pay if they took off work too attend her mother's funeral. (MY condolences.) .it has been brought to my attention that city employees where told you can leave at noon if you are attending the funeral and receive a whole days pay. I would like too know if this applies only to the city managers family or all city employees . I would also like to know did the mayor and board of commissioners approve this .

FROM A CONCERNED CITIZEN: I think Spring City should take notes from Harriman about the monthly car show.They host theirs by the lake ,Spring Cityshould move theirs too one of the beautiful parks we have.This would eliminate the issues for the citizens and business owners.FORGET getting your madicine at hassler,s going to simply bank ,shopping at ace ,eating Chinese or Mexican on the night of the event. THE CITY IS NOT PROFITTING OFF THE Car show, but the businesses on front street are suffering from it.
