The Spring Green Police Department is proud to share that we have recently collected over 98 pounds of unused and expired medication from the drop box located at our office! This ongoing effort helps keep our community safe by preventing misuse and ensuring proper disposal.

Our medication drop box is available year-round during normal office hours, providing the community a convenient way to safely dispose of unused medications at any time.

In addition to the drop box, we will also be at the Spring Green Fire Department’s Open House on May 2, 2026, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM, where you can stop by, enjoy the open house activities with your family and community, and drop off your medications in need of disposal.

🚲E-BIKE SAFETY IN OUR COMMUNITY🚲

As warmer weather arrives, we’re seeing more electric bicycles (e-bikes) around our village. E-bikes are a great way to get around—but they must be used safely and responsibly. We’ve received concerns about speed, helmet use, and riders not following traffic laws. We made up this guide to help keep everyone safe.

‼️STORM SHELTER INFORMATION‼️

Heads up Village Residents:

For Spring Green residents in need of a storm shelter during significant severe weather, like tornado warnings, the designated area will be located at the River Valley Intermediate School (Middle School), located at 660 Daley St.. The entrance can be found on the far west side of the building, at Door “L”, to the right of the District Office - please see the photo below for reference. There will also be signs.

A quick reminder to Village residents that our Winter Parking ordinance is still in effect! With the snowstorm predicted for this weekend, please make sure your vehicles are parked in compliance with this ordinance. This allows our Public Works department to remove the snow and clear our streets safely and efficiently.

Also, a reminder that sidewalks need to be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours of a snowfall. If sidewalks are not cleared, homeowners can be cited and may be responsible for the cost of having the snow removed.

*** WINTER PARKING REMINDER ***

It's that time of year again!
A reminder to all Village residents that the winter parking regulations will go into effect this weekend, on November 15th, and will continue through April 1st. During this time, parking throughout the Village will be as follows:
• In residential areas where parking is normally allowed, between the hours of 1:00am – 6:00am, vehicles need to be parked on the even-numbered side of the street on even-numbered days and on the odd-numbered side of the street on the odd-numbered days.
• Between the hours of 2:00am – 6:00am, there is NO PARKING ALLOWED in the downtown area. The streets restricted for this include:
- Albany St. from Jefferson St. to the railroad tracks
- Jefferson St. from Washington St. to Winsted St.
- Lexington St. from Daley St. to Madison St.
- Washington St. from Daley St. to Madison St.
- Worcester St. from Monroe St. to Madison St.

Also, please remember that it is your responsibility to clear the sidewalks at your property. A build-up of snow and ice on Village sidewalks is a danger to those who use them. Property owners will have 24 hours to remove any snow or ice from their sidewalk. If sidewalks are not cleared, homeowners can be cited and may be responsible for the cost of having the snow removed.
