Tulips are blooming! Make sure to walk the second loop to see this line of beauties. We were tired of digging holes last fall and decided to plant two straight lines of tulips by the picnic tables on loop 2. ❤️

You must take a walk on the trails! So many beautiful daffodils and some tulips.

The hummingbirds are in their way!

The Ruby-throated Hummingbird migration has reached the Upper Midwest, and they're moving up the East Coast!

We received our first hummingbird reports on April 13 in Michigan and April 14 in Wisconsin, and our first photos from each state on April 16. For comparison, our first report from each state was on April 18 in 2025, so hummingbirds are a bit earlier this spring than last spring.

When you see a hummingbird this spring, let us know by submitting your sighting on our website.

Thanks for enjoying our trail and for the award last fall to plant daffodils.

Make sure you check out the trails! The daffodils are blooming and tulips will be sprouting soon! Can you identify any of the wild spring flowers blooming on the trails?

04/07/2026

It is a little early for spring flowers but they will soon be blooming. Make sure to watch for the daffodils and tulips planted around the signs in the sunny part of the trail as they will be blooming sometime in the next month. If you see any let us know!

Thank you to everyone who helped plant bulbs on the Norwegian Ridge Birding & Nature trails last weekend. As much as we would like to slow time down because time seems to be sailing by, we can barely wait to see the trail next spring.

We planted over 400 daffodil bulbs thanks to an award from Houston County Master Gardeners. ❤️ Jim & Karen also donated over 100 tulips and Lane & Mary donated some tulips too.
