I’m glad to hear another suspect involved has been captured. Let this serve as a clear message — you don’t come to Spring Hill, commit crimes, and expect to get away with it. I’m extremely grateful for the dedication and hard work of the Spring Hill Police Department. Well done.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price to preserve and protect the freedoms we enjoy.
Their sacrifice is the foundation of our nation’s strength, and it is our responsibility to live a life worthy of that sacrifice.

What that life looks like is up to each of us to define—but I encourage you to make the most of every opportunity, to live with purpose, and to give your best each day.
In doing so, we honor not only those we’ve known, but also the countless heroes we never had the chance to meet.

Today, I had the honor of being part of a truly historic moment for our city. The Spring Hill Police Department has finally received the state-of-the-art facility it so rightfully deserves. While I was not a member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen at the time this project was approved, I’m proud to serve on the board that witnessed its completion and delivery.

This milestone is the result of the hard work and dedication of many individuals—past and present—who have contributed their time, vision, and effort to our city’s continued growth. Most importantly, we are grateful to the citizens of Spring Hill, whose support made this achievement possible.

Thank you to the men and women of SHPD for your unwavering commitment to the safety of our community, and thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to life.

Let’s take a moment to recognize some of the unspoken heroes of our city—our dedicated Public Works team.

If you’ve recently enjoyed a walk through the park without having to wade through overgrown grass, or if you’ve flushed a toilet, turned on your faucet, or done a load of laundry today without a second thought—thank Public Works. These daily conveniences are made possible by a team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our city running smoothly.

Their efforts often go unnoticed, but their impact is felt by all of us, every single day. So here’s a well-deserved round of applause for the incredible team at Spring Hill Public Works. We appreciate you!

We were fortunate to have Mitchell as part of our community. Heroes like him make quiet sacrifices that strengthen the fabric of our city. He made Spring Hill better—not through recognition or fanfare, but through service and dedication.

While newcomers to our city may not yet know his name, they will. Because his name will continue to be spoken, and his legacy will live on. Though Mitchell did not lose his life in the line of duty, he lost his life while actively serving. And for that, he will always be remembered and honored.

Take a moment today to reflect on the heroes among us. Thank a hero when you see one—and when you do, remember Mitchell Earwood.

Say an extra prayer tonight, for those who standby to protect our city and our country. These are gods warriors doing his work.

Thank you for your trust and confidence in my leadership to help carry out the vision that the citizens of Spring Hill have for the future of our community. While I can’t promise to fulfill every request, I can guarantee that I will always give my greatest effort to preserve what makes this city special to all of us.

To those who asked about my family’s absence at this event — I’m incredibly fortunate to have a supportive family that shares a deep commitment to the values we instill at home. With a household full of young athletes, we’ve taught our children that commitment comes before electives. They had games and practices scheduled, and honoring those commitments was their priority.
