United Way of Hernando County

United Way of Hernando County United Way of Hernando County brings together local businesses, organizations & volunteers to focus on lasting changes to key issues here in our community.

United Way of Hernando County is on a constant mission to invite community members as well as organizations to join the movement and pledge to LIVE UNITED. UWHC proudly invests in over 26 local Health, Education, & Financial Stability programs, as well as a multitude of in house Community Impact programs here for our county. UWHC works hard to balance the growing demand for basic services such as

food, utility, and rent assistance, with our ongoing commitment to tackling the underlying causes of complex and seemingly intractable problems. Our support for long-term commitments are essential to addressing key social issues. These initiatives include helping children, adults, & elders, encourage health and wellness, physical and emotional care, promote financial stability and self-sufficiency, and crisis intervention. UWHC also focuses on a much larger spectrum; initiatives such as homelessness all the way to hardworking individuals such as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), men and women of all ages who get up each day to go to work, but aren’t sure if they’ll be able to put dinner on the table each night. Through “collective collaborations” we strategically raise funds through multiple avenues: workplace giving campaigns, grant opportunities, corporate support, give-back events, residential donors, etc., and invest in the places where we live and work to make a stable community for families and businesses. Our goals are ambitious, but with your help, and by utilizing our core strengths — a national network, committed partners and public engagement capacity — we can achieve them. As we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all.

💚 OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS US NOW.

When a neighbor faces an unexpected crisis, a little help can make an enormous difference—a utility bill paid, a family kept in their home, or simply the relief of knowing someone cares.

Right now, United Way of Hernando County’s Emergency Assistance Fund is depleted. There are neighbors who may need help, but we cannot provide that lifeline without the support of our community.

This is a critical time to give. Every donation helps us rebuild this vital fund so that when a family reaches out in their moment of need, we can be there.

Your gift today can become someone’s hope tomorrow. 💚

👉 Give easily and securely:
www.unitedwayhernando.org/give

Help us refill the fund. Help us be there when our neighbors need us most.
