Today (June 23) Friends of the Library delivered 95 books for children to The Well Outreach. The books will be included in the birthday bags that are given to families to help them celebrate birthdays. Cake mixes, decorations and other items are included in the birthday packages that are put together by The Well.

Book lovers who want to add to their home library can visit the 2nd Look Book Store or attend the Quarterly Book Sale on July 18 at the Spring Hill Library. These events are sponsored by Friends of the Spring Hill Library.
All sales go to help make the new Spring Hill Library - scheduled to open in 2030 - a wonderful place.
There are comfy chairs but no chocolate.

Mark your calendar the next Quarterly Book Sale sponsored by Friends of the Spring Hill Library it will take place Saturday, July 18 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Spring Hill Public Library.

The real ducks were not available today (Saturday, June 13) so they asked their friends the plastic ducks to fill in for them.
At the Friends of the Spring Hill Library Booth 52 at Experience Spring Hill event today from 10 am to 2 pm at Battle Creek High School the plastic ducks will help children win toys. (No candy the ducks don't like candy.)
Also everyone can learn more about the Friends of the Spring Hill Library and our upcoming events.
The real ducks will be relaxing and enjoying some fun in the sun and water.

Come see the ducks at the Friends of the Spring Hill Library Booth at Experience Spring Hill located at Battle Creek High School on Saturday, June 13. Children will get to get win a prize at a game featuring the ducks.
Everyone will get to learn all about the upcoming events sponsored by the Friends. See you at Booth 52 in the Main Gym.

Sunday, June 14 is Flag Day and also it is Sunday and the Library will be closed. If you have an America flag that needs to be retired please bring it to the Spring Hill Public Library on Monday or any day that the Library is open. Boy Scout Troop 1855 will retire the flag.
A flag retirement is a formal and dignified process of retiring a worn, faded or damaged U.S. Flag.

Saturday, June 13 from 10 am to 2 pm The Friends of the Spring Hill Library will have a booth at Experience Spring Hill Business Expo and Job Fair at Battle Creek High School.
Come see us in the Main Gym, Booth 52. Children can catch a plastic duck and win prizes (not candy). Everyone can learn more about the upcoming book sales, special events, and how to support this wonderful organization.

When you come to the Library, come see the art on display.

Come see artwork by Nadine Shillingford at the library! Through portraiture, mixed media, and the written word, Nadine creates visual archives that honor lived experiences and celebrate the complexity of everyday people. Nadine’s art will be displayed on the library's Adult Art Wall through the end of July.

The Friends of the Spring Hill Library Book Sale on May 15 and 16 raised $5,521.43. The city is moving forward with plans for a new library and the money raised will be used to help furnish and equip our new Spring Hill Public Library.
More than 687 people attended the two-day event and purchased books, puzzles, laserdiscs, DVDs, and games.
A special craft section featured Blind Date Books, handmade quilted bags and visors, book marks and more. Thanks to Marianne, Dena, and Susan, the crafters who donated these items.
We were please to welcome 13 new members, three of whom are Lifetime Members. The special Donation Jar received $216.13 in donations.
Thirty Five Friends of the Spring Hill Library volunteers worked to get ready for the sale, staff it, and clean up. A special shout out to Richard Jackson who has been putting up event signs for several years. A special thanks to the Spring Hill Public Library staff for collecting the donations and helping with the sale in so many ways.
The Friends of the Library is blessed to receive hundreds of donated books every quarter. Those donations feed the ''need to read'' in our community and provide the funds the library needs for special projects.
The next quarterly book sale will take place Saturday, July 18. The members only preview sale will take place on Friday, July 17. Also you may purchase books and puzzles at the 2nd Look Book Store inside the library and also the Friends EBay store
