🔥 HEADS UP: High Fire Danger has returned to most of the state, a result of abnormally dry fuel conditions further exacerbated by high temperatures low relative humidity, and gusty SW winds of 10-25MPH, resulting in high fire danger across most of North Carolina! This will continue this afternoon and into Sunday.

Fire fuels could easily ignite and spread rapidly in these conditions. Residents and visitors to the area are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate containers. Exercise caution if operating any equipment that could create sparks, and keep vehicles off dry leaves and grass.

Louisburg Fire Department is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 12:15 pm until 5:00 pm. The blood drive will be held at the Louisburg Fire Department Meeting Room.

Blood donations are critical in helping hospitals and emergency responders provide lifesaving care to patients in need each and every day. A single donation can make a tremendous difference in someone’s life.

We invite all community members to join us in helping save a life!
